Hailing from a country where men rule in the house and outside and often use their economic and social status to control women, 36 year old Amna is waiting for a perfect life partner. Her fledgling sister’s marriage renders her an object of mockery among colleagues and fellows. She is dragged into a dark and depressive phase where life becomes meaningless and mundane. Eventually one day she explodes. In an effort to aid her regain psychological stability; her parents take her on a recreational trip to the lush green Kashmir. As she sits by the Neelam River, she ponders upon the Word of God and tries to find meaning in her life. By the riverside, she is convinced that God has a ‘higher’ plan for her. She is almost certain of that plan when life brings her to a juncture where she is compelled to rethink her belief. She is left perplexed and questioning the entire institution of marriage and the existence of God.
