The book of Psalms is a timeless collection of wirings that span centuries. Upon reading, the reader receives a plethora of images. From Psalm 23 alone, you have still waters, green pastures, a shadowed valley of death, the Good Shepherd's staff, and heaven itself, to mention a few. The rest of the Psalms include images of high mountains, ocean's depths, spacious skies, comfort, pain, suffering, peace, and joy, to mention only a few more. The very images poets write about! Since David was the author of most of the Psalms, a poet in his own right and musician, music and rhythm are natural products of the book as well. These particular Psalm 'Psonnets' are poems which reflect the divinely inspired words and images of the book of Psalms (one for each 150 Psalms, 24 for Psalm 119 alone, and 38 personal poems added by the author). These poems are intended to be 'reflected' inspiration for you the reader; encouragement for your faith, and simply words put to rhyme and rhythm for your reading pleasure. May the Lord bless your reading!

"The Lord has given Pastor Lyle Kath a voice to sing His praises in the written word. His unique format of Psalm Psonnets brings a special joy to my day. A collection blending God's Word from the Psalms and Pastor Kath's words of poetry, this devotional book will bless your quiet time with the Lord no matter what the setting.”

My friend, Pastor Kath, has composed a remarkable volume of "Psonnets" for each Psalm. In spite of personal significant physical limitations, he shares with us, often through humor and always in the joy of the Lord, the sentiment, emotion and meaning of selected verses from each Psalm. Additional poems written throughout the author's life are included as a bonus. This pocket size book is the perfect companion for your morning coffee, a pastor's home or hospital visit, a leaders meeting devotion and a student's private time with God. Thank you Lyle for sharing your faith with us!

This should be destined to be a classic on every pastor's shelf and every Christian's night stand. Pastor Lyle Kath has mastered the perfect blend of eloquence, grace, truth, and life in the real world with the real God.

I can easily see someone coming along making these into songs, psalms, and hymns sung in churches. In fact, the meter is there for this to be done now.
