A Journey with God - Stop Bullying Now - Jeff Janson

Can young Chic, a lost gecko, successfully complete his epic journey home to the safety of the family he loves or will he run into bullies of the forest who need to be stopped? Throughout his journey, Chic meets animals who bully other animals. Though unsure of his own inner strength, Chic prays to God for strength and draws upon that given strength to discover not only that he is able to help and protect others, but that he is never alone when he walks God’s path.  
 
Over 4,400 children die annually due to bullying. Seventy-seven percent of all students are bullied and 14% of this 77% experience a sever reaction from the bullying done to them. How can we sit back and not try to help those that need our help. I wrote this book to give young Chic a voice, a voice that will reach others and help fight the bullying and hate that is happening to our world. As a boy I stood by and watched a young man be brutally bullied by the children in our Jr. High School. Although I did not participate in the bullying, I did something much worse….I stood by and did nothing to help him. I write this book today 40 years later to finally take an action on something that I did not have the courage to face as a 12 year old boy.  
 
This book is based on a prayer that I say over my boys every night. A prayer that I know has created an inner strength in them to fight the bullies in their world. I hope that it helps you and your children.
