This is a children’s alphabet book enhanced with emotions and bible scriptures. The photographs of the children depict different emotions corresponding to the alphabet letters. Each child’s name supports the letter sound. Many of the names will support the emotions as well. There are no consonant blends to encourage the pure sound recognition for early readers. Each page includes a bible verse that relates to the given emotion. There is an animal on each page that also supports the letter sound. Seven countries are represented in this book as well as many multicultural names given to the children.

The combination of alphabet and emotions is a great starting point for early learners. This book will appeal to a wide variety of ages as well as alphabet book collectors. Adults reading this book to children will also be encouraged by the practical application of the bible verses.

The author of this book has a background which includes a BA in sociology and elementary education from Lycoming College. She has owned and operated a preschool/childcare for twenty six years which has given her much insight into teaching the fundamentals of early learning. She has found alphabet and emotions are a natural combination and have great appeal for the early learners.
