Having concentrated my efforts on uncovering “uncelebrated” women in the bible. I became personally challenged to repeat the process with relatively unknown men in scripture. This time I focused on over 30 different men who were all rather secondary individuals named in God’s word.
The fact is that over 3,000 people are mentioned in the entire Bible. For curiosity’s sake, the most commonly mentioned names are: Jesus, David, Moses, Abraham, and Jacob. The men discussed in this work are somewhere in between the most common names and the totality of those mentioned in scripture.
Many of the readers will be fairly familiar, specifically like some of the people who were around Jesus and his Apostles: men such as Lot, Gideon, Barnabus, and Joseph of Arimathea probably will ring some bells. But, Amphipol and Mephibosheth will challenge the best of you.
But scripture, after all is about PEOPLE.
