Black & White on White paper
BISAC: Fiction / Christian / Fantasy
When the commander of NASA’s first manned mission to another star system is awakened from hibernation unexpectedly early by the space craft’s onboard computer, he discovers that stars are inexplicably dying and going nova throughout the galaxy. Before he can awaken his eight crewmates, two of them – Christians – disappear from their hibernation chambers. The seven remaining astronauts attempt to make sense of what is going on around them. Delayed transmissions from NASA reveal that the Earth is in global turmoil and is in a collision course with a large asteroid.
As the seven comrades attempt to cope with their feelings and extend their survival time aboard their spacecraft, One crewmember, the physician, discovers key information left behind by the two Christian crewmembers who disappeared. At first, she alone comes to understand the root cause of the extraordinary events happening on Earth and in the Universe. Initially, all but one comrade refuse to accept the shared explanation left behind by the Christian couple. However, the physician is persistent because she knows there is more at stake here for her friends than mortal survival in deep space; and, time is short.
